EMIEKE GELDOF

BOOKKEEPER

Emieke is exceptional in keeping all financial records in tip-top shape for the Casa - Pueblito staff and Board of Directors.  Emieke was interested in the work being done at Pueblito, and after meeting the team she knew it was the right fit for her.  Prior to joining Pueblito, Emieke was the accounting manager for a small software development company.  Before coming to Canada, Emieke was a teacher in New Zealand.  Personally, Emieke enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, painting, and canoeing.  She is also a volunteer for the Toronto Parkdale Horticultural Society, maintaining their website, as well as being Treasurer on the Board of Directors.

Nuria JIMénez

ADMINISTRATIVE AND DONOR RELATIONS ASSISTANT

Nuria has been a part of Casa - Pueblito since 2018. Beginning as a volunteer, a few years later she came back and joined the team as an Administrative and Donor Relations Assistant at the Toronto office. There has been a great deal of happiness in her life as a result of her newly acquired role and personal life.

Nuria worked as an Architectural Visualizer for several architectural firms. This process produces such vivid and compelling images that she remains passionate about it.

She enjoys life and her favorite poem is “Defence of Joy” by Mario Benedetti. The verse, "Defence joy as a flag", indicates that barriers have no reason to exist, and people shouldn't discriminate against one another because of their differences.
